My First ever trip to NYC
Recently a good friend of mine, Jennifer, came across a series of pictures from a visit we both took to New York City back in 2005. This was the first time either of us had ever been there and it has remained a magical place in my heart ever since. I have been there several times since and each time is filled with its own set of memories. I have had the pleasure of being in the east village when the bars close down, only to reopen with the drapes closed, serving drinks till the last of the faithful have departed. Browsing or searching through thousands of CDs or Records in Greenwich till your eyes are blurry and you realize you have been there for seven hours! I fell in love with an amazing woman while in New York a few years ago and have extremely fond memories of feeling as if there was nothing i could not do if i tried! In turn i had my heart broken while in New York and was angry at the city for taking my dreams away. All of these moments are chalked up to what one could refer to as "New York Minutes". Anything can happen in the city if you believe it and want it bad enough. I am writing about New York because i am packing to head to France tonight followed by another trip to New York. This time we will be performing on the legendary Saturday Night Live. I am very lucky to have an opportunity to be a part of this historical show, even if its not as popular or cutting edge as it once was. I actually feel its currently in a good place right now and the writing is back to edgy and pushing boundaries. So back to my first ever trip to Manhattan and all its concrete splendor! The following are a series of pictures that are from that June in 2005, recently discovered and edited.
Enjoy
